Print ad # 2

I just created my second print ad for our production of The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.  I used glogster because I had a goal in mind to try and make the ad stand out more, so it will catch people's eyes.  In my add, I tried to use text boxes that will seem to jump out at your eyes.  I also incorperated vibrant colors so it will look interesting, and so that people won't just pass over the ad without considering looking at it.  I used the quote "Love is a smoke made with the fumes of sighs."  I think this means that with love comes consequences.  This is shown in the production, because Romeo and Juliet's love ultimately lead to both their deaths.  In my ad, I also made sure to include the show date, a catchy picture, and some of the important actors' names.  I hope this add is succesful!

My First R and J Add

I just created my first Romeo and Juliet ad for the show on April 30.  It was very interesting looking up what to put on an effective ad.  There were many different opitions on the subject matter, but I think that I have found the the most effective way to advertise for Romeo and Juliet.  I planned on catching people's eyes by placing a large picture in the middle.  Under the picture I gave the information about the show; such as where it is going to be shown and when it is going to be shown.  I also gave the names of some of the more important actors of the show. I think that it will be appealing to any GPS student if they see a name that they recognize on the ad.  It always helps that Romeo and Juliet is a classic that everyone will want to see.

My Plans as Print Advertiser

Im really excited for the class to put on the Romeo and Juliet play.  I think that it is going to turn out really well.  Im hoping that I will be able to do my part by creating ads that will catch people's eyes.  I am planning on expirimenting with a few different types of ads.  I would like to see which type is the most appealing for people to look at.  Im wondering what it is that I should advertise.  Should I advertise the setting that our show is going to take place in, or what the traditional play is known for.  Anyways, I hope it turns out as planned!
